Apple appoints Amazon’s Wandell

Apple has hired programme developer Morgan Wandell as part of its bid to increase scripted programming in the streaming market.
Wandell has served as a top executive at Amazon for the last 4 years. He arrived at Amazon from ABC Studios, and his résumé includes hit series such as The Man in the High Castle, Sneaky Pete and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. While at ABC, he worked on such TV shows as Gray’s Anatomy, Lost, Desperate Housewives and Ghost Whisperer.
Apple has previously revealed it plans to spend $1 billion on developing original programming to take on the likes of Netflix and Amazon.
