Over 1m views for Babylon Berlin on Sky Germany

Babylon Berlin has surpassed the one-million viewership mark in Germany, ranking #2 among the most successful series starts of all times on Sky Germany, only beaten by Game of Thrones. The Roaring-Twenties show, produced by X-Filme, ARD Degeto, Sky and Beta Film, debuted last week and has been watched via linear and catch-up service by 1.19 million viewers within six days.
The 16-hour show has already been sold by Beta Film to 60 territories worldwide, among them the US, Australia, Spain, UK, Italy, France, Russia and Scandinavia. Babylon Berlin will premiere in numerous European territories in the following weeks.
Sky Germany is broadcasting two-part episodes of Babylon Berlin every Friday on prime time. The platform has over five million subscribers. The premiere has been watched by 577.000 viewers on linear TV, 614.000 used Sky’s non-linear service.
