CISCO: ‘The cloud means we can deliver developments in a day’

Conrad Clemson SVP, SP Platforms & Applications, tells a-tv @ IBC 2017 about the super speed innovation that Cisco’s cloud platform is enabling. He describes how where previously a new STB might have needed nine months in the lab, a customer recently requested an Android STB and it was being shipped within a day.
Clemson says tremendous progress has been made in the last year and development is constantly accelerating. ‘We always said 10 million was a magic number of subscribers we needed committed to the platform, we now have just under 14 million and as we get out and start running at that pace it is remarkable how much we are learning and every time we are learning something we are moving just faster and faster…”
