September 15, 2017
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Vodafone has become the first ISP in Spain to launch speeds of 1Gbps through its optic fibre network – significantly up from the previous highest speed of 300 Mbps.
Starting September 25th, the company will charge a fee ranging from €65 to €106 for the convergent package One L –which includes unlimited calls from the TV mobile phone, 20GB in data, and other services. Initially, 4 million homes and businesses will be able to take advantage of the service.
Vodafone’s main competitors, Telefónica and Orange, are likely to launch similar offers in the near future.
Meanwhile, Vodafone has launched Mi Vodafone, a new app included in Vodafone One TV that allows the subscribers to have access to their most used items more easily and rapidly. With the new app, the subscriber will be able to check how many services and products they have, subscribe to new channels and a la carte packages, activate promotions and use Vodafone online with no extra cost.
