Mexican media conglomerate Televisa is to use Intelsat’s Galaxy 16 and 19 satellites for C-band services over the country, and feeding signals into DTT repeaters throughout Mexico.
Galaxy 19 (at 97 degrees West) is being used by Televisa to supply network distribution services across North America. The two satellites have been contract in a multi-year, multi-transponder deal.
Intelsat and Televisa say they have been working together for more than 25 years, and the two satellites provide optimal coverage over Televisa’s target markets.
