Twitter eyes US PGA streaming rights
July 17, 2017
Twitter is in talks to stream the US PGA Championship after Sky lost its exclusive broadcast for the golf tournament, according to a report in the FT.
It comes as the social media service looks to grow its user base through live sports.
Recently Twitter has partnered with the All England Lawn Tennis Club to live stream its Wimbledon channel, although it also lost NFL streaming rights to Amazon.
Twitter also holds the rights to stream 31 smaller PGA tour golf tournaments around the world.
