The SAT>IP Alliance, a non-profit organisation responsible for defining marketing and technology strategies related to the SAT>IP standard, has announced that Irdeto and Verimatrix have joined the Alliance. Both companies will strengthen the group’s work in the area of content security.
“With the integration of CAS-to-DRM solutions into the SAT>IP standard we are making it much easier for pay-TV operators to take live broadcast television content onto in-home IP networks”, said Thomas Wrede, President of the SAT>IP Alliance, “and we invite manufacturers of SAT>IP equipment to support our efforts and to join the Alliance.”
