Mediaset Spain profits up 21%

Commercial broadcaster Mediaset Spain made a profit of €60.6 million in the first quarter, up 21 per cent than the same period last year.
Net revenues grew by 4.2 per cent up to €240.4 million, of which €235.4 million corresponded to ad revenues, up 5.9 per cent.
Mediaset, operator of Tele 5 and Cuatro and other five TV channels, led the TV ad market with a share of 43.4 per cent.
EBITDA amounted to €81.2 million, up 14.7 per cent with an EBIT of €76.8 million, up 17.1 per cent.
During the first quarter, Mediaset led the audience ratings with a share of 28.8 per cent, with Tele 5 taking 13.6 per cent.
