Ostmodern expands into US
April 26, 2017
VoD delivery and broadcast content specialist Ostmodern has opened an office in New York. The move was fuelled in part by the success of its Skylark video platform, with the US office intended to drive the growth and implementation of innovative video services for customers across the region.
The company – behind BBC Player, 4oD, Maxdome, and many other OTT services – has seen several global customer wins in recent months. It’s also delivered on major Skylark deployments in EMEA and APAC, including those for the BBC and News Corp. With much of Ostmodern’s recent growth originating from the US, the new office is set to expand quickly. Ostmodern will hire local account management, sales, engineering, and implementation teams in the near future, delivering on its growth and strategic support plans for the region.
Richard Amos, CTO at Ostmodern, will lead the New York office. The venture will also be supported by newly appointed Commercial Director, Stuart Ferreira-Cole.
Commenting on the move, Amos said: “Ostmodern has already established itself as an international player and we’ve had close ties with the US market for several years now. The strength of our combined service and product offering, and the number of US-based clients we’re already working with, made opening an office in New York a logical next step in our plans for continued growth.”
