Roku, TiVo licensing deal

Entertainment technology and audience insights specialist TiVo Corporation and TV streaming platform Roku have signed a multi-year intellectual property (IP) licence agreement.
The IP licence covers the TiVo and Rovi Corporation patent portfolios as well as the over-the-top (OTT) assets of the Intellectual Ventures patent portfolio under the TiVo/IV licensing partnership.
Additionally, the agreement includes an option for Roku to access TiVo’s high-quality entertainment metadata and other TiVo products to further power intuitive search and navigation.
