Antenna launches SVoD in Greece
March 28, 2017
Antenna Group, the international media and entertainment organisation, has launched a local SVoD service in Greece offering viewers a range of popular local content.
The new SVoD service, Antenna Next, is available effective immediately in Greece for €2.99 and launches with a range of exclusive programming as well as popular boxsets and catch-up content. Some of the titles available on the service include the dramas Brousko, Twin Moons and Daddy Cool.
Announcing the launch, Antenna Group Managing Director, Pete Smith said: “We are delighted to be launching our new SVoD service in Greece following the huge success of our TVoD platform last year. Viewers want more flexibility in how they consume content and ANT1 NEXT allows our audience – particularly the younger demographic – the opportunity to watch an episode of their favourite show before it airs on our linear channel or to catch-up on one of our primetime entertainment programmes.”
He added: “We are investing heavily in our digital brands and operations to make sure that our audiences in Greece and internationally are able to access our content in a variety of ways. We were the first broadcaster in Greece to launch such a service and we will continue to invest in content and technology to make sure that Antenna Group leads the way in innovation and viewer experience.”
