Spain: TV and FTTH spur Vodafone growth

The rapid take-up of FTTH along with the success of new TV services like HBO and Netflix have seen Vodafone significantly increase its subscriber basis in the last quarter of 206.
The company captured 115,000 new FTTH customers reaching a total of 2.2 million of users with the highest Internet speed. At the end of December, FTTH homes amounted to 15.8 million, with 10.1 million of them served by ONO.
As for television, the launch of HBO and Netflix has boosted the market with the company gaining 78,000 new subscribers in the last quarter to 1.28 million TV subscribers.
The convergent package Vodafone One -with FTTH, mobile and fixed telephony and TV – already has over 2.14 million subs.
In the last quarter of the year, Vodafone had a total turnover of €1.256 billion, up 5.1 per cent on the previous quarter.
