BT TV adds 52,000 subs in Q3

BT TV added 52,000 subscribers during its third quarter, bringing the total to 1.7 million. BT Sport’s average audience figures increased 15 per cent, excluding Showcase and digital channels.
Across the Group, revenue was £6.128 billion (€5.57bn), up 32 per cent. BT Sport programme rights charges were £187 million, up £25 million, mainly as a result of the new FA Premier League rights contract.
BT announced earlier this week that from August 1st, BT Sport would no longer be free for BT subscribers.
