Bake Off to air on C4 this year after all
January 26, 2017
The Great British Bake Off will return to TV this year after the BBC waived its right to force Channel 4 to hold off until 2018.
The BBC lost the rights to the show last September after Channel 4 bid a reported £25 million (€29m) per year for the format.
A BBC spokesperson said the broadcaster would not “use its hold back clause against C4 and Love Productions in relation to Bake Off and its associated shows…We have many exciting projects for the future. Watch this space.”
