France passed the 5 million mark for super fast broadband subscribers in the third quarter of 2016 according to regulator Arcep. More than six out of 10 broadband subscriptions in the country now exceed 100Mbps.
Since the beginning of 2015, super fast broadband represents most of the growth in broadband subscriptions. Over 12 months it has increased by 1.2 million subscribers with FTTH attracting 655,000 and passing 1.9 million homes in Q3.
Nationwide, broadband subscriptions are present in 27.5 million French homes, that includes 19.1 million with access to OTT TV from their STB.
