End of Israeli public TV?

The Israeli Parliament is discussing shutting the country’s public broadcaster with the incumbent administration accusing it of liberal bias.
The PM Benjamin Netanyahu – who is also communications minister – is supporting a bill to close the state media group, which operates a TV station and six radio stations. Its’ $90 a year licence fee was cancelled last year and there was to be a new company but the government now recommends closure.
