Spain: TV ad market up 6.4%

The Spanish TV ad market is seeing growth with a rise of 6.4 per cent in the first nine months of the year, reaching a total of €1.515 billion against €1.424.3 billion the same period the previous year. The figures from advertising consultancy Infoadex show 90 per cent of the figure relate to FTA TV.
Mediaset Spain, owner of Tele 5 and Cuatro among other channels, is leading the TV ad market in the country with a share of 43.8 per cent, with total revenues of €663.3 million as of September 30th, up 7.3 per cent.
Atresmedia, owner of Antena 3 and La Sexta among other channels, has a market share of 42.6 per cent, reaching €645.3 million.
In terms of rating, Mediaset is also leading the market with an average share of 30.5 per cent including all its seven channels, 3.5 points over Atresmedia with 27 per cent.
