New VP Progamming for A+E Networks

A+E Networks UK has appointed Daniel Korn as its new Vice President of Programming. In his new role Korn will be responsible for sourcing and scheduling all content for A+E UK’s portfolio of pay TV channels which includes History, Lifetime, Crime + Investigation and the recently launched free-to-air channel, Blaze.
A BAFTA-award-winning producer, Korn joins from STV Productions, where he held the position of Creative Director. Prior to that, Korn spent ten years as SVP of Programming at Discovery Networks UK & Europe, overseeing programming and production across 24 channel brands in 30 countries.
Korn will take up his new role at A+E Networks on October 31st, reporting to Heather Jones, UK GM and SVP of Content and Creative.
Jones said of the appointment: “Dan is a hugely experienced and highly respected programmer. He has a fantastic understanding of content, commissioning and brands and will be a brilliant addition to the Content and Creative team.” Korn’s appointment follows the recent hire of new Creative VP Kenny Reynolds, who also reports into Heather Jones.
