August 24, 2016
Eurofins Digital Testing, a global player in end-to-end quality assurance (QA) and testing services (formerly Testronic Labs Belgium and Digital TV Labs), has acquired Labatus, to strengthen its ability to help accelerate and reinforce deployment of multiplatform TV and video services for operators around the globe. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Labatus offers automated test development, planning and strategy solutions for TVs, set-top boxes, smartphones, tablets, and applications across iOS, Chromecast and Android platforms. As part of the acquisition, Eurofins Digital Testing gains additional offices in Sweden and other locations globally. In addition, the company will benefit from Labatus’ experience supporting companies like TiVo on operator deployments such as Com-Hem in Sweden, and others.
“Labatus is known for delivering cutting-edge test development, planning and strategy solutions that enable the delivery of high-quality TV and video services across devices,” said Johan Craeybeckx, CEO of Eurofins Digital Testing, Belgium Division. “They provide highly complementary products and services, and were a natural fit for us. With this acquisition, Labatus will further augment our capabilities to help provide quality assurance in an increasingly competitive and evolving market.”
