Spain: RTVE launches smartwatch Río app

Spanish public broadcaster RTVE has launched an app for the smartwatch GEAR S2 with all information and updates on the Olympic Games.
The app can be downloaded from the Galaxy Apps store and marks RTVE’s first involvement in smart wearables devices. At the same time, RTVE has enriched its added-value service for the Olympic Games through the red button with the addition of new live and recorded content.
Separately, RTVE has introduced its new channel, Star TVE, in Panama, Latin America. With regular HD transmissions, the channel is distributed through pay-TV platforms across the American continent offering an entertainment programming slate including TV series.
Star TV has strengthened the international TV service operated by RTVE, with TVE Internacional, launched in 1989, as the main RTVE´s flagship.
