Android TV search adds Netflix content
June 24, 2016
Android TV’s universal search feature has now added Netflix content to its search results in the US.
Search is usually key to Google products, so the inability to apply that to Netflix always seemed odd, especially since similar search capabilities worked with Netflix on both Apple TV and Roku devices.
A tweet from Android confirmed the addition. The new search data will occur via a server-side switch, meaning there will be no need to download an update for the Android TV app.
