Swiss cable operator UPC Cablecom has shortened its name to UPC effective immediately.

The company, owned by Liberty Global, has also adopted the UPC brand in Austria, replacing UPC Austria. The new logo will also be introduced in Austria in the next weeks.

The planned unified brand for both countries was first announced in December 2015.
