Mediaset Spain has achieved a record profit of €50 million in the first quarter of the year, up 37.8 per cent on the same period last year and the highest numbers in the last eight years.

The company had an EBITDA of €70.8 million, up 51.6 per cent year-on-year with a net turnover of €230.7 million, up 4.6 per cent on the same period last year.

TV ad revenues reached €214.1 million, up 3 per cent, with the company reducing its operational costs by 7.6 per cent up to €163.2 million.
