Montenegro’s Agency for Electronic Media has announced a public tender for granting rights to provide audio-visual media services on demand via the second national DVB-T2 multiplex.
Mux 2 will transmit from three locations – Bjelasica (channel 25), Lovcen (27) and Tvrdas (22) – in SFN mode.
Applications for participation on the public auction can be submitted until 30 May.
The winner will get the right to use the entire capacity of the multiplex to provide pay-TV services. In addition, it must cover 75 per cent of the population, enable broadcasters access with at least 2 Mbps and also support the use of the ITU-T H.264/AVC (MPEG-4 Part 10) standard.
The public tender is open for all individuals and companies registered to provide telecommunications services and intend to provide audio-visual media services on demand using broadcasting frequencies.
The financial part of the bid accounts for 60 points, while the scope and structure of the channel package will account for the remaining 40 points.
