Netflix CEO “open mind” on downloads
April 20, 2016
Netflix has thus far resisted offering subscribers the choice to download and watch its shows offline, but that could change in the future.
CEO Reed Hastings said the company was thinking about it: “We should keep an open mind on all this. As we expand around the world where we see an uneven set of networks, it’s something we should keep an open mind about.”
Key rival Amazon offers a “watch offline” function, as does the BBC iPlayer and other similar catch-up services.
