Kaltura, Harmonic to deliver SaaS platform
April 14, 2016
Kaltura, the video technology provider, and Harmonic, a specialist in video delivery infrastructure, have partnered to deliver a software as a service (SaaS) platform that lets OTT players quickly launch ‘Live to OTT’, as well as VoD and time-shifted services.
Kaltura has integrated Harmonic’s new VOS 360 professional cloud media processing service with its OTT video platform to provide a flexible cloud OTT platform that can be run over various public and private clouds.
“We are seeing a growing number of content owners, TV networks, publishers and service providers asking for a flexible SaaS platform that will allow them to manage their entire OTT service – high quality live/linear OTT channels. This integration with Harmonic means that we can jointly offer a complete cloud-based platform that does just this – and can be run on a variety of different cloud environments,” commented Ron Yekutiel, Kaltura Co-founder, Chairman and CEO.
