DirecTV building 4K portfolio

DirecTV, now owned by AT&T, is starting to build is portfolio of Ultra HD broadcast channels.
This week has already seen the launch of its first, Channel 106, where viewers can watch live UHD transmissions of the 2016 Master golf tournament from Augusta, Georgia.
DirecTV says that it will this week launch a full UHD channel comprising a mix of documentary and original programme acquired for its Audience Network broadcasts.
PPV transmissions of movies and factual programme will also now be available to subscribers, direct from satellite.
