Netflix acquires ITV’s Marcella

Netflix has bought the rights to ITV’s new drama Marcella, written by the creator of The Bridge, Hans Rosenfeldt and starring Anna Friel.
The VoD service has bought the exclusive worldwide streaming rights to the eight-part thriller, which begins on ITV on April 4th.
Rosenfeldt said: “I think it’s amazing to be on Netflix, it is probably the best thing that could happen to a TV show at the moment – a bigger audience and worldwide distribution at the same time.”
