LG, Sony first ‘Netflix Recommends’ TVs
March 21, 2016
With so many smart TVs now featuring Netflix as a pre-installed feature, the streaming giant has put them to the test to tell viewers which are the best.
TVs receiving the new ‘Netflix Recommended’ logo have to pass a stringent set of criteria including performance, ease of access and speed. In a blog post, Netflix explained: “We work with global TV manufacturers to pioneer higher standards for smart TVs and have created an easy way for you to identify TVs that are offering better performance, easier app access, and new features that make for a better smart TV.”
So far in 2016. only two brands have been given the honour of a Netflix Recommended logo.
LG and Sony TVs have both passed the tests although Netflix says that additional models and brands will be added as they become available and are evaluated.
