Orange Spain to axe 496 staff
March 7, 2016
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Orange Spain will make 496 staff redundant following an agreement with the Trade Unions. Orange initially wanted to shed 550 staff.
The acquisition of broadband operator Jazztel has meant a restructure of the company. A collective dismissal plan has been agreed for workers mainly in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville and Valencia.
Orange Spain has committed itself not making another job reduction over the next two years.
