March 3, 2016
Infinity, Mediaset’s video on-demand service, is pleased to announce the signature of an agreement with Keshet International, the leading Israeli distributor and producer of entertainment and multimedia content. The agreement gives Infinity the exclusive Italian first window rights to the much talked about and award-winning TV series “Prisoners of War”, also known for its Emmy and Golden Globe winning American adaptation, “Homeland”. In addition, this will be the first ever Hebrew speaking show available in Italy.
Created, written and directed by Gideon Raff, “Prisoners of War” follows two soldiers as they attempt to re-adjust to their lives after returning home from captivity for 17 years. The story begins with their return home, after years of negotiations for their freedom. Two soldiers return to Israel alive, the third comes home in a coffin. The series explores the soldiers’ reintegration into Israeli society on both a national and personal level. However, while the soldiers are reacclimatizing to their lives, a secret investigation is also unfolding, into the truth surrounding their capture and the many discrepancies in the soldiers’ stories. As the investigators get closer to finding what really happened to them in captivity, the two soldiers become even more determined to hide the biggest secret of all.
