HBO Europe relaunching linear channels

On March 21st HBO will relaunch its linear channels to subscribers in central and eastern Europe, bringing together the finest HBO programming in three channels, HBO HBO2 and HBO3. The three themed channels embrace the breadth of content of HBO and local programming for subscribers, including US and local original drama and comedy, documentaries and top movies.
HBO broadcasts in fourteen countries across the region, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro and Macedonia.
The new channel line-up will be:
- The HBO channel will offer original production premieres including fiction series and documentaries from the US and programming produced in the region, together with exclusive movie world events including the latest Hollywood premieres.
- HBO2 brings a wide choice of family-oriented programming, with a huge library of movies and TV series; in the daytime it will offer comedy, family and children’s movies; for the evening and night-time viewing a wide selection of drama, comedy, thriller and action movies and horror films; this is television for all the family. Additionally, HBO2 will now be available in Romania, Bulgaria and the Adria territories, for the first time offering three HBO channels to subscribers in these countries.
- HBO3, formerly HBO Comedy, is the new re-branded channel dedicated to HBO original content, bringing subscribers the very best of HBO local and international original productions including award winning HBO US and local original production series and movies.
