Spain: Movistar Plus launches channel #0

Movistar Plus has launched #0, a new channel that replaces Canal Plus on tchannel 7, targeting an auience aged between 18 and 54.
Available to Movistar Plus’ 4 million subscribers, the new channel will broadcast a mix of TV series, sports (Formula 1, Moto GP, football and tennis) and in-house entertainment programmes. The channel will mostly rely on in-house programmes to draw the audiences with at least 5 hours of such content per day.
“We are a hashtag, many faces, many new ideas. We have different entertainment proposals, sports with signature, surprises, formats, a list of new programmes, five fresh hours a day to start from scratch. From #0”, stated the company in a press release.
The new TV channel is the result of the merger between Movistar and Canal Plus.
