Eutelsat’s latest satellite, its 9B craft, is scheduled to launch on January 30th, on an International Launch Services (ILS) Proton/Brez M rocket and booster stage. The craft will launch from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan.
The satellite was built by Airbus Defense & Space and will go to 9 degrees East. It has a significant coverage area stretching over the whole of Europe (on its Pan-European Ku-band beam) as well as coverage over the complete Nordic countries, and with a beam focussed on Greece although stretching from the UK to most of Turkey and the Levant.
