IHS: “We’re upgrading 4K forecasts”

Paul Gray, principal analyst at IHS Technology, admitted to delegates at a major London conference that the specialist research business has had to upgrade its forecasts on European 4K sales.
Despite telling delegates to the Hollywood IT Society and Media & Entertainment Services Alliance, held at the Dolby London HQ, that UHD sales would be buoyant, he also warned the audience that there was a risk that the consumer could be confused by the emergence of 8K displays in the marketplace.
