Canada: Shaw launches FreeRange TV
January 7, 2016
Shaw Communications has launched FreeRange TV in Canada, a mobile viewing experience that allows users to view their favourite TV shows and movies anytime, anywhere.
FreeRange TV provides Shaw’s 2.6 million video customers with a mobile destination that combines their TV and content subscriptions in one place, and makes the content they want instantly available no matter where they are. All Shaw Cable and Shaw Direct customers can download the FreeRange TVTM app at no additional cost for iOS (8.0 and up) and Android (4.0.3 and up) devices.
“FreeRange TV uses Comcast’s world-class X1 platform – the latest in cloud-based and mobile video technology – and represents the first step in the evolution of Shaw’s new television product roadmap,” said Brad Shaw, Chief Executive Officer, Shaw Communications. “FreeRange TV stands out by offering you access to all the content you love in one place without requiring you to switch between apps or services.”
