Monterosa powers Big Brother app
December 17, 2015
Monterosa, the multiscreen activation specialist that works with broadcasters to connect with their mobile audiences, has announced a 12-month deal with UK broadcaster Channel 5.
Viacom-owned Channel 5 has adopted the LViS interaction platform to power the hugely popular companion app for the 2016 series of Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother. The scalable platform will enable the Big Brother production team to react to the on-screen action by creating and publishing polls live, and reviewing the votes received in real-time. By offering secure, compliant, real-time polling in high volumes, LViS Studio — an easy-to-use, extensible live management tool for producers — will also support Channel 5’s vote-auditing processes.
James Tatam, Director of Digital Media & Commercial Development at Channel 5, said: “Endemol Shine’s Big Brother franchise remains at the heart of Channel 5’s entertainment offering. As such, we were looking for the most versatile, robust platform on the market — one that would offer fans a compelling range of polling and interaction options, and one that would stand up to the demands of such a popular show.”
