Sky exec: “3D isn’t dead for us”
November 27, 2015
Sky insists that it hasn’t given up on 3D, even after axing its Sky 3D channel earlier this year.
TrustedReviews asked Sky Executive Kathryn Lacey whether Sky had overestimated customer interest in technology.
“It’s not that 3D is dead for us, we’ve still got all of our 3D content available on On Demand,” she answered. “And actually that’s a great way for […] people to watch the films and content they want on their terms.”
Lacey said this shows consumers that there’s still an interest in continuing with 3D in the future. “I don’t think there’s anything for customers to be concerned about, from that perspective,” she explained.
