The QYOU launches mobile app
November 12, 2015
The QYOU, the international 24/7 media network of curated internet video, has launched a new mobile app that will allow subscription service providers of all types – pay-TV, OTT, SVoD, mobile and more – to deliver The QYOU’s linear and VoD content, selected from the most popular videos online, through an interactive, multiscreen experience.
The app enhances the value of the QYOU’s offering to subscription providers by delivering a premium experience to the millions of mobile video viewers around the world who already embrace short-form content- 60 per cent of people in Europe, America and Latin America watch short videos on their mobile every day. The mobile app provides a single gateway through which users can access high definition, ad-free and curated content from the massive world of online video.
Co-Founder and CEO of The QYOU, Scott Ehrlich commented: “In an increasingly connected, TV Everywhere world, premium platforms need tools that will help them create and enhance the subscriber value proposition. Our app delivers this for mobile users by balancing active, passive, and personal viewing modes to create a more customised experience that can be adapted according to a user’s mood, location or inspiration. What sets it apart though is the app’s capability to allow viewers to not only rewind but also skip forward during a linear programme so they can move freely around the content as they wish. To the best of our knowledge The QYOU on mobile is the first linear video channel in the world to offer viewers this level of flexibility.”
