Globosat, part of the Globo TV group, says it will be offering 16 pay-TV HD channels from next year’s Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games to viewers in Brazil, but with a total of 40 channels from the Games available to web-based consumers.
The 40 on-line channels will be carried on Globosat’s own website and their ‘TV Everywhere’ and Globosat Pay platforms.
The news emerged during the Latin American Satellite Summit held in Rio last week.
