Rovi has confirmed the extension of a multi-year, multi-territory patent licence agreement with Sky. The renewal extends Sky’s previous licence agreement and offers the provider continuous access to Rovi’s entertainment discovery patent portfolio.

This renewal further reinforces the enormous value of Rovi’s patent portfolio in bringing the latest capabilities to pay-TV homes across Europe, where Sky customers can look forward to a state-of-the-art service from a trusted provider.”
