TiVo planning UHD launch?

TiVo made some strong suggestions at IBC that it would be launching an ultra-HD service shortly, and for some markets it could be before the end of this month.
Rumours suggest that TiVo is close to making a formal announcement which will see a dedicated UHD-suitable set-top box, and would not be waiting for the various standardisation bodies to come up with their HDR, Wider Colour Gamut and High Frame Rate specifications, but instead supply a receiver box that reflected current industry trends which accommodated most of the recommendations.
TiVo’s subscriber base is now about 6 million, up from 4.8 million a year ago.
Virgin Media uprated its services last December to handle 4K offerings from Netflix.
