Kaltura, the video technology provider, has revealed that Vodafone Spain has chosen Kaltura OTT TV to power new VoD and catch-up services on its Vodafone TV service.
Vodafone Spain said it chose Kaltura because of its OTT TV platform flexibility and scalability, and the company’s proven experience in delivering OTT deployments. The new services will help Vodafone Spain to boost viewer engagement without having to roll out new hardware, as well as to attract new subscribers.
“Working with Vodafone Spain on this project, with such ambitious launch dates, has been extremely rewarding. Bylaunching new OTT services on their STBs using our modular, unified backend, Vodafone Spain is opening up a world of on-demand content to existing and new subscribers. It will also allow them to build new revenue streams. We look forward to partnering with Vodafone Spain on the next deployment phase,” commented Ron Yekutiel, Kaltura Co-founder, Chairman and CEO.
