Mean Broadcast for Eurosport ad sales
August 18, 2015
Discovery Networks UK and Ireland has awarded a multi-year advertising and sponsorship sales contract for British Eurosport and British Eurosport 2 to Mean Broadcast. The decision follows Discovery Communications’ agreement confirmed in July to acquire full ownership of Eurosport, the leading sports channels group across Europe and Asia.
Discovery Networks UK and Ireland appointed Mean Broadcast to the commercial sales business for the British Eurosport TV channels in an extension to a long term deal. The contract begins with immediate effect and includes responsibility for managing airtime sales, channel and programme sponsorship and brand partnerships working with media and advertising agencies and brands.
“I was really impressed by the approach, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit of Mean Broadcast, said Martin Heaton Cooper, VP, Commercial Development, UK, Ireland and International Advertising Sales, EMEA at Discovery Networks. “They have a fantastic track record and are the ideal partners to enable brands to reach our passionate TV audiences around the best of domestic and international sport.”
