Italian DTH platform TivuSat has added three new TV channels this month, making them available to viewers equipped with a certified digital box and smart card.
Giallo and Focus are two of the seven free-to-air channels produced by Discovery Italia and available on digital terrestrial in Italy. The two channels will thus join Real Time, Dmax and Deejay TV that are already available on TivuSat.
Focus is an entertainment channel, based on the successful eponymous monthly magazine, appealing mostly to a male audience between 25 and 54 years.
Crime-orientated Giallo is primarily targeted at a female adult between 25 and 54 years, and the schedule ranges from classic to premier TV series.
Earlier this month, TivuSat added Cartoonito, a kids channel that is a joint venture between commercial broadcaster RTI-Mediaset and Turner Broadcasting System Italia.
TivuSat currently has over 2.4 million active smart cards.
