Brazil satellite success

An Ariane 5 rocket successfully delivered Brazil’s Star One-C4 broadcast satellite into its correct transfer orbit on July 15th.
This was the 66th consecutive success for Arianespace and the third launch this year, all mentioned by the company as if to stress its ease in getting satellites into space while arch-rivals SpaceX and Russia’s Proton have badly stumbled with failures.
Star One-C4 is owned by Embratel of Brazil and was built by Space Systems/Loral, with 48 Ku-band transponders on board. It will operate from 70 degrees West and has a 15-year planned life-span.
