Italian commercial broadcaster Mediaset has signed a deal with Internet company Tiscali for the broadcasting of TV content on online portals Tiscali.it and Istella.it.
Mediaset will make available, in embedding mode, a selection of entertainment, TV series and news programs from its online service Videomediaset.it. The content will be indexed by the popular search engine istella and will further enrich the multimedia content available on the Tiscali.it portal.
Mediaset’s advertising unit Mediamond (Publitalia Group) will handle advertising sales for the “pre-roll” and “post-roll” formats that are part of the agreement, while Tiscali’s concessionaire, Veesible, will retain overall responsibility for revenue collection of the two portals Tiscali.it and Istella.it.
Mediaset recently signed an agreement with mobile operator Vodafone Italia for the launch of a joint mobile and pay-TV offer.
