Netflix confirms Italy, Portugal launches
June 8, 2015
Following the announcement by Netflix that it was planning to launch in Spain in October, the streaming service has also formally confirmed October launches in Italy and Portugal.
This autumn, the countries’ respective Internet users will be able to subscribe to Netflix and instantly watch a broad selection of TV series and movies in HD and Ultra-HD on a variety of Internet-connected devices.
Netflix has yet to announce pricing for the new countries, but in the company’s other European markets, including Germany, France and Belgium, the service costs €7.99 per month, after a one-month free trial. When the three new services launch, Netflix will be available in close to 50 countries, 13 of which are European.
