Quiptel ups QoS & QoE over HLS
April 21, 2015
The delivery of TV and video content over broadband and mobile networks is the fastest growing sector of the Digital Media Market. Quiptel has identified that conventional HLS-delivered adaptive bitrate architecture can benefit significantly through the inclusion of several intelligent components from the Quiptel Media Suite, in particular their latest module, Q-Flow HLS.
Q-Flow HLS’ smart Client approach, is packed with multiple layers of intelligence that gives the whole system the ability to navigate dynamically through the busy and congested Internet, making use of every bit of available bandwidth. Quiptel’s technology is constantly monitoring the network to provide the consumer with the best possible TV experience. The Quiptel solution can also be deployed in conjunction with any existing HLS system and be delivered across a wide variety of CDNs.
“Quiptel is at the front of providing Cloud-based OTT TV and Video solutions that can now be delivered at a fraction of the cost of previous platforms, also giving our customers access to the significant benefits of our intelligent patented technology that in turn can be used to upgrade existing systems. Many network professionals have had to work to the limits of existing ABR-based systems, especially in congested environments; now Quiptel brings a new and innovative approach allowing significant improvements in both QoS and QoE. Q-Flow HLS is the ultimate low-cost upgrade for any HLS-powered system,” commented Peter Do, Chief Technology Officer and Founder.
