Indian pay-TV operator Videocon d2h is now listed on the NASDAQ exchange.
Claimed to be India’s fastest-growing DTH operator, the listing came about following the $453 million investment by Harry Sloan and Jeff Sagansky (via their Silver Eagle Acquisition Corp) into Videocon d2h.
In a statement Silver Eagle says this is the first Indian media company to list on the Nasdaq, and follows on from one of the largest US investment deals into an Indian business.
Videocon d2h’s latest numbers show it has some 13 million subscribers and a 20 per cent market share, says the statement.
